Removal of Garlic Mustard

Long Island, NY

Issue: Garlic Mustard removal takes professional help to completely eradicate.

Solution: Spadefoot was able to detangle the invasive mess and plant natives in the area to take back control.

The Project Details

Invasive species removal is not the same as weeding. It is a form of adaptive management that requires a detailed understanding of the life history of the plant in question. It can be hard work though–after this tract of land was liberated from a tangled mess of invasive multifloral rose and English ivy, garlic mustard took advantage and started to grow in.

Take a look at the native plants we planted, such as the Atlantic White Cedar and Spicebush.
